Our transit provider Liberty Global has announced planned maintenance on their routers.

During this maintenance redundancy with Liberty Global traffic will be reduced, with no expected impact to regular throughput.

We will be upgrading our Cloud VPS platform to ensure security updates and stability improvements are installed promptly.

During this maintenance we will migrate VMs to different nodes and upgrade each node separately. With migration ongoing we expect downtime to be minimal, though you may expect your VM to migrate several times during the maintenance window.

As part of ongoing efforts to improve network reliability and path diversity, we will be performing maintenance to swap in a new fiber segment within our diverse inter-datacenter route.

Over the past two weeks, we have been testing a new connection designed to expand and strengthen the redundancy of our NIKHEF fiber ring network.

Potential Impact:
Due to the redundant design of our fiber ring, there is expected to be no impact on service stability or performance. Traffic will temporarily reroute through an alternate path for approximately 10 - 20 minutes while the fiber exchange is completed.

Our NOC team will be actively monitoring the process and will be present on-site at the data center to ensure smooth execution and immediate response to any unexpected events.

Fiber interconnect provider Eurofiber, which connects Internet customers through Globalswitch Amsterdam (GSA), is having a planned maintenance.

"We are performing a large scale network software update that will improve the performance and future-proofing of our services. Your connection will be interrupted up to 4 hours within the window. Given the size of this project we cannot adjust the schedule. We understand that this may have an impact and commit to keep the interruption as short as possible."

Internet customers relying on this interconnect may experience downtime during this maintenance window.
