During this timeframe there will be a maintenance on the darkfiber connecting DBC towards EQX-AM7 (Equinix AM7).

The connectivity between Equinix AM7 and DBC will automatically reroute over our Globalswitch darkfiber during this maintenance.

Third party reason: "Please be advised that euNetworks will perform an urgently required cable relocation".


Update 2017-04-21 01.20:
At 00.50 during this maintenance, the darkfiber running from Globalswitch towards DBC went completely down. This together with the planned darkfiber from Equinix AM7 towards DBC, which was planned to go down during this maintenance. This left DBC site connected on our core ring network with one darkfiber running from RIX towards DBC. Due to this unplanned second darkfiber going down, caused by euNetworks, DBC was largely degraded in capacity.

At 01.17 both darkfibers recovered, redundancy and capacity are fully restored.

We have esclated this incident with eu Networks. This as as it is against policy and procedure to have works done at the same time, on fully redundant darkfiber paths, which are delivered by the same provider.
