Affects: Traffic BNR

At 03.00 CET a part of our VPLS platform located in Bytesnet Rotterdam (BNR) stopped forwarding traffic to Globalswitch Amsterdam (GSA)

There was a planned maintenance done by interoute on ports connecting Bytesnet (BNR) to Globalswitch Amsterdam (GSA), when the ports went down no issues where present but when the ports came back up the link was established but the MPLS part didn't establish.

Engineers we're already monitoring the maintenance and shutdown the link between GSA and BNR.

The VPLS at BNR has 3 darkfibers, one to GSA, one to DBC and one to NZS.

However due to a cascade effect after the physical ports to GSA were shut again, the VPLS to DBC seemed to be online but stopped forwarding traffic as well.

The switches are setup in a redundant stack but have both been reloaded to restore all connectivity, logs have been collected and will be sent to the manufacturer for further debugging.

We will keep monitoring the switches for now to keep sure they show no issues.
